Great weekends, part 3:
This one, which began with freshly baked cinnamon rolls and L'Avventura, both really good. Other than that it was a bit of a family weekend, away from the internet, doing things I like on my last weekend in Vienna: We had breakfast in a bakery and went to the Max Weiler exhibition which was excellent, really excellent. My brother and I went skating at dusk, you have no idea how happy I am that I bought a longboard, best decision ever! And today it was still warm enough to wear shorts, so we took a long walk up the hill and through the forest.
I'm trying to spend as much time outdoors as possible before it gets too cold and dark to do so, but after reading about Jeannette Winterson's article "Why I Adore The Night" here, I'm thinking that maybe I should just embrace the change of seasons instead of rejecting it? (Or maybe that's all just because I'm finally reading Theodor Storm's Der Schimmelreiter which is so bleak and wet and autumn-y that complaining about a 21st century winter makes me feel like the biggest wimp on earth.)
L'avventura! Hope you did not get bored.
ReplyDeleteAre you joking?
ReplyDeleteit was just a way to exclude any possibility of guilt of having suggested something not that good.
ReplyDeleteNooo! It was great, I only wish I could have watched it on a big screen with some wine and bread, it really should be watched on a big screen.
ReplyDeleteIt's great indeed! Now, complete the trilogy!

Omg Celine, I keep giggling about that name, it's great! These Northern names sound really strange to my Southern ears.
