world book day

Happy World Book Day. As you can see, I've been reading almost nothing but academic books in the past year, fun. Exceptions: Harry Potter when I was feeling especially dreadful, and political diaries because that's what I do instead of watching reality TV. I cannot wait until I have time to read an actual novel again. A book that isn't about Albanians/Greeks/the Ottoman Empire? Whoah.
Today I wrote a list of books I'm going to read once I'm free to do so. Most of them are historical studies I've found in the library, e.g. "The Story of Fabian Socialism". For now, I'll continue reading "The Albanian Muslims and the National Independence Movement", yes, yes, yes. What have you been reading? Any recommendations?

  1. Happy world book day! I have so far celebrated by reading a free newspaper. Sigh, how terrible.

  3. Wo befindet sich diese grandiose Sammlung an Uralt-Bügeleisen? Ist das bei euch in der Wohnung? Wieso ist das nicht Teil der Führung??

  5. I've been indecisive about choosing books lately and currently keep switching between The Age of Reason, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and Brighton Rock. Next up on my list is Die Ringe des Saturn, which I'm excited to start!
