back in town

I'm back from Romania. Today we got up at six in the morning after five hours of sleep in the wonderful city of Cluj, had breakfast and then sat in the bus for the next twelve hours or so. As a result, I am incredibly tired now. There will be pictures and spazzing about the wonderful Romanian countryside, the beautiful churches and monasteries and the bizarre way of life when you're stuck in a bus with twenty history students for a week.

But now I'll take a bath and have some proper black tea which I sorely missed in Romania. Here are more soothing pictures of an Amsterdam palais which shows how rich Bürger (for lack of a better word) used to live. Not surprisingly, I liked the pastels.
