Vampire Weekend

As usual, I'm late at noticing a hype. This time I had to read an enthusiastic review in the "Presse" (slightly conservative Austrian newspaper), of all places, first. Vampire Weekend are from New York and sound a lot like Good Shoes, only with more stuff going on. They're really good and the video for A-Punk makes me smile. I think they might become the band at who's concert I'm going to meet all the friends I've lost touch with in a few months' time. Listen to them! They're everything that's good about non-pop indie!

It's baroque'n'roll all over again! String orchestra like in the best Left Banke songs! Plus jangly guitars! I must say I'm charmed.
