half light

If you look long enough and hard enough, everything is amazing. Especially the little street that runs parallel to the one that I live in. I realised this when I walked around my neighbourhood at dusk a week or so ago. This Arcade Fire song really describes the feeling well, how eery and quiet it is on a Sunday evening.

Strange how the half-light can make a place new.
You can't recognize me, and I can't recognize you.
We run through these streets that we know so well,
and the houses hide so much --
But in the half-light none of us can tell.
